Easy Beef Stroganoff | Contributed By: Sue, | See all of Sue's recipes | | Active Time: 15 Minutes | Total Time: 1 Hour | 6 Servings | | | | This recipe requires very little prep. It definitely falls into the comfort food category! INGREDIENTS 1 – ½ lbs. Lean Ground Beef* | 1 Medium Sweet Onion, (Vidalia is the best when in season!) chopped | 2 10-3/4 oz. cans Campbell’s Golden Mushroom Soup | 1-1/2 cups Sour Cream | 1-1/2 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce | 1 tsp. Parsley Flakes | ½ tsp. Ground Black Pepper | Dash Ground Red Pepper (Cayenne) | 16 oz. Pkg. Extra-wide egg noodles | | DIRECTIONS Brown ground beef with onion in a 6 quart pot, drain. | Add remaining ingredients, except egg noodles and stir thoroughly. | Bring to a simmer. Cover and reduce heat. | Simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. | About 20 minutes before the stroganoff mixture is complete, cook the egg noodles per package directions. | Serve over extra-wide egg noodles or your favorite noodle. | Fresh, steamed, green beans make an excellent companion to this dish. | *Ground turkey can be substituted if desired. | |
