This is a notice I have received from MyFamily.com 11/21/07

Hi Jim,

It's been a few weeks since I sent my original email announcing our plans to begin the migration of all myfamily 1.0 sites to the new myfamily 2.0 system. We've made a lot of great progress since then, and I wanted to share the latest myfamily migration news with you as we begin this year's holiday season.

1.     The migration of your myfamily 1.0 site to the new 2.0 system does not mean that your 1.0 site will be immediately shut down. Once your site is migrated to the new system, your transition period begins, and you'll be able to access it on both the 1.0 and 2.0 systems. This transition period will give you and your site members an opportunity to become familiar with the new myfamily system.

2.     We've created a back-up copy of your site, and we'll continue to do so in order to ensure that nothing gets lost during the transition. Sometime in the next couple of months we'll make a copy of your 1.0 site available to you on the new 2.0 system. Until then, remember that you don't have to copy anything by yourself!

3.     We'll notify you when your existing 1.0 site has been "migrated" to 2.0 so that you can become familiar with the new system before exposing it to your site members. We'll also provide a way for you to notify your site members when you're ready for them to begin using the 2.0 version of your site.

4.     We'll make sure that your original 1.0 site is available during the transition period, so that you and your members can continue to use it while getting accustomed to the 2.0 system. We'll also update the 2.0 version of your site every day with any changes or additions that occur on your original 1.0 site.

BRIEF MIGRATION OVERVIEW
You may recall these details from our original announcement, but I wanted to reiterate the migration plan below so that you'll know what to expect over the next few months:

1.     Since we made our first announcement of the myfamily 1.0 to 2.0 migration, we've received thousands of requests from folks who want to move their 1.0 sites to the new 2.0 system, and we're moving as quickly as we can to fulfill those requests!

2.     We've migrated hundreds of sites to the new 2.0 system and we'll continue migrating more each week. If you're one of the folks who completed our Migration Sign-up Form, but haven't seen your site migrate yet, please continue to be patient. Rest assured that your name is at the top of the list, and we'll get to your site as quickly as possible.

3.     We've continued to enhance the 2.0 system to provide more features and better accommodate sites migrating from the 1.0 system.

4.     We've heard from many of you that the holiday season is one of the busiest times of year for your myfamily site, so we've extended the migration transition period so that you can enjoy your 1.0 sites throughout the holidays. Now, rather than ending by December 31, 2007 as originally announced, the transition period will extend into the first few months of 2008. We'll provide more details on transition timing in future migration news updates.

COMMITMENT TO SERVING FAMILIES
I also want to reassure you that we remain more committed than ever to creating the best place for families to come together online, communicate with one another, share photos and strengthen their relationships. Myfamily.com will continue to be a place where families can connect in private online spaces and keep in touch with each others' lives.

As always, if you have questions about migration, you can check out our Migration Information Center.

My team and I are very excited about the future of myfamily.com, and we're looking forward to introducing you to a whole new world of possibilities as we turn over this new leaf.

Sincerely,

Michael Graff
Sr. VP & General Manager
